Merriam-Webster : Alumnus
1: a person who has attended or has graduated from a particular school, college, or university.

In a K-8 school such as OLG, the alumni are those people with a vested interest in the school. That extends from the students to: their parents and families who choose and support the school; the teachers that commit their lives to the values of a Catholic Education; and the staff who insure that the highest standards of this education are achieved.

Welcome OLG Alumni.

Each graduating class has a photo in the lower hallway of the school building. The first graduating class from 1960 were the first to become students at the new OLG School of 1956.

Time Capsules: The time honored tradition of burying something for future “generations” to dig up. Here we offer our graduating classes a virtual place to bury their capsules. During the end of their graduating year, they offer thoughts and remembrances of theirs last year at OLG to their faculty supervisor. Each group picks their “open” date. On that date, their capsule will be opened and viewable here.

The Class of 2020 would like their Time Capsule to open in June, 2024. It will have been four years since they had distance-learned and social-distanced Graduated from OLG. They will be at the end of their high school careers. A time to look back.

The Class of 2021 spent most of their time in distance-learning. They were finally able to come together as a class for classes in the spring of 2021. And what a reunion it was, just in time to spend the final months of school enjoying each other’s company. Their teachers were so grateful to have them return. The class has asked that their time capsule be opened on for their H.S. graduations in 2025!!!

The Class of 2022 were very lucky to have spent their graduating year together in the classroom. But it was not an easy road for them, as they too suffered through the distance-learning semesters. But was with the previous classes, it was their families, teachers/staff and friends that they will remember as having made the journey with them.

The Class of 2023 were younger during the COVID distance-learning years. The effects on each year were different, but this class had several years of a more normal school life to recover. Congratulations class of 2023. We’ll see you in 4 years, 2027 to see your memories.
